The idea
A place, a light, a memory. The subject is chosen for the place it will take around a neck, in the hair or on a bag.

MINERINO was born from a simple belief: a silk square can be looked at like a work of art before it is worn like a signature.

A mosaic exists only through its fragments. Thousands of small stones, pieces of glass and ceramic, each set in its place, each slightly different from the next. From afar, an image. Up close, a material.
The floors of Pompeii, the golds of Ravenna, Gaudí's trencadís in Barcelona: for two thousand years, mosaic has told of places, animals and gardens with a patience nothing has replaced.
That patience is what we wanted to bring to silk.

Our squares are born from places: a terrace on the Riviera, a frozen lake in the Alps, a garden in Barcelona, a navigator's chart. Each collection is a journey in chapters, from the mountains to the sea.
We compose them like a travel journal: a subject, an antique mosaic frame, and details you only discover by coming closer.

A place, a light, a memory. The subject is chosen for the place it will take around a neck, in the hair or on a bag.

The design is composed tessera by tessera, with its joints, reflections and frame, at the exact scale of a 90-centimetre square.

Every shade is checked on a proof before printing, down to the gold of the joints, which must glow without shining.

The design is printed in Italy, on a silk chosen for its drape and its hand.

The edges are rolled, then each square is inspected, folded in sixteen and wrapped in tissue paper.

Each square receives its edition number, recorded in the house register, and joins its box with its card.
We would rather make ten squares kept for a lifetime than a hundred that are forgotten. The house of MINERINO

Designed in Switzerland, printed in Italy: we write it on every product page, plainly.
A register, a card, a box: every square has a story that can be passed on.
